To assist the public and the medical profession by setting appropriate graduate and post-graduate education and training requirements for competency in spine surgery.
By the establishment of this independent board, it is our intent to:

Assist the public, the medical profession and other interested parties in their desire to identify competent and well trained spine surgeons.
Enhance the quality of future spine surgery.
Enhance the quality of “expert” testimony presently being provided in regard to surgical treatment.
Board of Directors
The board is led by national leaders in neurosurgery and orthopaedics who volunteer their expertise to meet the unique needs of spine surgery.
